Give | The National Shrine of St. John Neumann

Give

Thank you for your consideration of supporting the National Shrine of St. John Neumann! The Redemptorist Community is currently in it’s 161st year of Shrine Ministry promoting and spreading the devotion to St. John Neumann.

It all began on January 10th, 1860, the day of St. John Neumann’s Funeral when throngs of devoted followers sought access to his tomb in the basement of St. Peter the Apostle Church. Devotees were seeking help through the prayers of St. John Neumann, and thanking him for the intercession he already provided for their prayer filled requests to Our Lord! Only twenty years later in the early 1880’s the Redemptorist Community began the process towards Sainthood as they saw the Bishop’s devotion flourishing and growing year after year. Our Shrine, housed in the Lower Crypt of St. Peter the Apostle Church, has been a point of destination for many prayerful souls throughout the years. Come and walk & pray on our holy ground!

We invite you to make pilgrimage to the Shrine to learn more about St. John Neumann and the impact he has had on many around the world!  If you would like to talk with us about a visit or ways to support us, please call Deborah M. Binder, Assistant Shrine Director at 215-627-3080 ext. 115.
